Candidate lists going to delegates for vote

At least 8 percent of nominees to be candidates for members and alternate members of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and candidates for members of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection have been voted off after preliminary elections in the past days.
The draft lists of names of candidates for members and alternate members of the new CPC Central Committee and candidates for members of the new CCDI were approved at the third and fourth meetings of the presidium of the 19th CPC National Congress on Sunday evening and Monday morning.
At the presidium meetings, presided over by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, a decision was made to submit the draft name lists to the delegations to the Party congress for consideration.
Members and alternate members of the new CPC Central Committee and members of the new CCDI will be elected at the closing meeting of the Party congress on Tuesday morning.
