Foreign Ministry: US bill violates one-China policy

Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang said the Taiwan Travel Act passed by the US House of Representatives seriously violates the one-China policy, and principles established in the three China-US joint communiques.
China is firmly opposed to the bill, which interferes with China's internal affairs, Lu told a daily news conference in Beijing on Thursday. Lu urged the US to handle the Taiwan question carefully, refrain from any official contact with Taiwan and take concrete actions to maintain China-US ties.
