If you want to see what happens when a 100-year-old villa showcases some of the finest examples of Italian art after World War II, visit an ongoing exhibition in Shanghai, titled Roma 1950-1965, which explores the Italian capital's cultural climate during the featured period.

The exhibition, curated by art historian Germano Celant, shows more than 30 paintings and sculptures by artists active at the time, such as Carla Accardi and Afro Basaldella.

The exhibition is being held through May 27 by the Fondazione Prada in Milan at the institution's newly renovated space, Prada Rong Zhai. The villa was built in 1918, and was listed as a cultural heritage site of Shanghai's Jing'an district in 2004.
