"Since the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, Shaanxi province has had an increasingly important presence on the world stage," said Bao Yongneng, director of the Cyberspace Administration of Shaanxi province.

This Northwest China province, following instructions from President Xi Jinping during his nationwide inspection tour, is fully utilizing the region's rich heritage and has begun building itself as an overall international hub along the Silk Road Economic Belt.

To highlight the progress of the province, a national press corps consisting of more than 70 reporters visited Xi'an on Thursday for a comprehensive view of the region's development.
