Scala dei Turchi, or Stairs of the Turks, at Realmonte, southern Sicily, Italy. The Scala is formed by marl, a sedimentary rock with a characteristic white color and is a popular tourist attraction and place to sun bake. In the film Malèna, the hero, 12-year-old Renato, always stare at the sunset here with his friends.
