State Council appoints, removes officials

BEIJING -- The State Council, China's cabinet, announced the reshuffling of government officials on Tuesday.
Zhuang Rongwen was named director of the Cyberspace Administration of China and deputy director of the State Council Information Office.
Zhuang is no longer head of the National Press and Publication Administration and the National Copyright Administration.
Xu Lin was appointed director of the State Council Information Office and removed from the post of director of the Cyberspace Administration of China.
Tian Yulong was named vice director of the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense. Wang Yiren no longer holds the post.
Wu Shizhong was appointed deputy head of the National Administration of State Secrets Protection.
Xia Gengsheng was named deputy director of the State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development.
Zhou Changkui was appointed vice president of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, replacing Lu Yong.
Bi Jingquan was approved to resign from his post as deputy director of the State Administration for Market Regulation.
