2018 ‘Hi Jiangsu’ media trip wraps up

The 2018 “Hi Jiangsu” media trip wrapped up on Sunday, Nov 18. A total of 19 journalists from 17 media outlets, including from Spain, Russia, Japan, Germany, Thailand, UAE, Iran, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, South Korea,Vietnam,Malaysia, the Philippines and Uzbekistan, joined the trip this year. During the week-long visit, the team visited Nanjing, Suqian, Yixing and Zhangjiagang city, to experience the unique charm of Jiangsu province.
During the opening ceremony at Nanjing Museum, Wang Yanwen, head of the Publicity Dept of Jiangsu province and member of the Standing Committee of Jiangsu Provincial Committee, and Zhou Shuchun, editor-in-chief of China Daily, presented souvenirs to the overseas media representatives.
The group covered stories about local culture, economy, and technology development by visiting a tea garden, liquor distillery and smart manufacturing industrial park, among other sites. Journalists even joined a livestreamed online shopping program at a local farmer’s plantation to see the growing development of small and medium enterprise e-commerce in China.
