Northern Inner Mongolia autonomous region has planned to conduct research and innovation to popularize its Wangfu embroidery.

A local intangible culture heritage, Wangfu embroidery is known for its fine and smooth workmanship, unique texture and local history and culture presentations.

The region has reached an agreement with a Shenzhen company to apply Wangfu embroidery to fashionable items, such as bags and suitcases, to popularize the charm of the intangible culture heritage.

The idea is to create a brand image and increase value for the whole Wangfu embroidery industry.

Inner Mongolia would also stage a series of costume competitions to present its embroidery culture to the world.
