Washington - Daniel Elwell, acting administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), said the agency's oversight approach must "evolve" after the deadly crashes involving Boeing's 737 MAX planes.

He made the remarks in a testimony at a Congressional hearing Wednesday afternoon to examine challenges to the state of commercial aviation safety, including any specific concerns highlighted by recent accidents and the subsequent grounding of the Boeing 737 Max aircraft.
