Mainland, Hong Kong and Macao ink cooperation arrangement on aviation security


MACAO - The aeronautical authorities of the Chinese mainland, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) and the Macao SAR signed a cooperation arrangement on aviation security here on Thursday, in a bid to establish long-term collaboration on aviation security policies and technical operations.
The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), the Civil Aviation Department of the Hong Kong SAR (HKCAD) and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Macao SAR (AACM) signed the Arrangement on Enhancing the Aviation Security Cooperation between CAAC, HKCAD and AACM in AACM headquarters.
The AACM said the three parties will work with each other on optimizing the laws and regulations, the standards and the policies on aviation security, and sharing the research and development results of the aviation security technology.
It also said the arrangement sets up a platform for regular meetings and exchanges on aviation security, and helps to implement the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
