B&R tumor prevention, control training base to be built in Chongqing


CHONGQING -- China Anti-Cancer Association and Chongqing University Cancer Hospital will jointly establish a "Belt and Road" training base to provide training for tumor prevention and control professionals.
China Anti-Cancer Association and Chongqing University Cancer Hospital signed an agreement on the building of the training base at the 2019 Chinese Conference on Oncology, held in Southwest China's Chongqing from Aug 16 to 19.
Fan Daiming, head of the association said the training base will be set up in Chongqing University Cancer Hospital.
"The training base aims to improve the level of tumor diagnosis and treatment in countries along the Belt and Road and accumulate resources for the establishment of an international tumor organization in China," Fan said.
Fan said that leading Chinese oncology experts will be selected to give lectures at the base, and young Chinese oncology professionals will be sent to countries along the Belt and Road to study advanced treatment of tumors. Meanwhile, experts from countries along the Belt and Road will visit China to hold academic seminars and training courses.
