Military Medics Tasked with Treating Patients in Huoshenshan Hospital (Excerpts)

Approved by Chairman of the Central Military Commission Xi Jinping, 1,400 medical personnel from the armed forces will be seconded to treat patients in Huoshenshan Hospital in Wuhan starting from 3 February. Huoshenshan Hospital, with a capacity of 1,000 beds, is dedicated to treating confirmed patients infected with the novel coronavirus. The hospital houses an ICU ward, a severe patients ward and a regular patients ward. It is equipped with supporting departments including infection control, clinical laboratory, special service clinic and radiodiagnosis.
