Eight museums in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China's Liaoning province, reopened to the public on March 17, according to local reports.

These museums are: the Shenyang Palace Museum, the 9.18 Historical Museum, Shenyang Exhibition Hall of the Former Site of the Tribunal for the Trial of Japanese War Criminals, Marshal Zhang's Mansion Museum, the Shenyang Financial Museum, the Exhibition Hall of the Former Site of the Northeast Army Lecture Hall, Shenyang Xinle Ancient Ruins Museum and the Shenyang Khan Palace Relics Exhibition Hall.

Officials said that at the time of epidemic prevention and control, the museums are implementing real-name appointments.

Visitors can book a visit by phone or online and must show their ID cards before entering.

Visitors need to receive body temperature measurements before entering and wear face masks during the visit.

They should only enter scenic sports in batches and are encouraged to keep a distance between themselves of more than 1.5 meters.

The numbers of visitors are being limited by the museums.

Officials said the 9.18 Historical Museum has a daily limit of 1,000 visitors and the Shenyang Exhibition Hall of the Former Site of the Tribunal for the Trial of Japanese War Criminals has a daily limit of 300 visitors.

Visitors can scan OR codes at the museums to listen to narrations. Museums have currently suspended services such as tour guide and luggage storage.
