Tencent Music Entertainment Group (TME) signed a deal with Japanese music label Being on March 25.

As per the deal, the three online streaming platforms under TME: QQ Music, Kugou Music, Kuwo Music have obtained the legal right of playing works owned by Being.

It also marks the transition of the Japanese music label, which is home to a large number of pop stars, such as Mai Kuraki and Maki Ohguro, as well as soundtracks of popular animations, including Slam Dunk and Detective Conan.

According to TME, which has more than 800 million daily active users, Japanese animations and pop music are popular among Chinese fans. The agreement will offer Chinese music lovers high-quality animation soundtracks.
