Jinan-based washing machine manufacturer Xiaoya Group announced on March 26 that its workshop for producing medical-grade infrared temperature measuring devices was completed and put into operation.
The factory reportedly has a daily output of 20,000 temperature measuring devices, which will be a major boon for the city's epidemic prevention and control work.
The detection device is able to display both Celsius and Fahrenheit readings to meet the demands of the international market.
The device not only can take temperatures of objects but also human beings at a distance of 3 to 5 centimeters in just one second.
The device has passed national quality checks, obtained its registration certificate and production license, and also received CE certification, which will allow it to enter the European market.
