The 2020 China-Japan-South Korea Business Conference opened in Shaoxing, East China's Zhejiang province on Nov 4, with attendants from three countries eyeing innovative transformation and win-win cooperation.

Government authorities and business representatives from the three countries shared new projects and products, discussing economic and technological exchanges in the post-pandemic era.

Ma Weiguang, Party secretary of Shaoxing, Yu Jianlong, secretary-general of the China Chamber of International Commerce, Kim Hong-gi, chief executive vice president of the South Korea Chamber of Commerce in China, and Tetsuya Matsuoka, a director from the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China delivered speeches at the opening ceremony.

The conference released the Shaoxing Proposal for China, Japan, and South Korea Business Communities in Post-Pandemic Era, stating four initiatives including developing a pilot zone for China-Japan-South Korea cooperation in Shaoxing, deepening cooperation mechanism between chambers and organizations, focusing on key industries, and building a community of common destiny for all mankind.

China is the biggest trade partner of both Japan and South Korea. In 2019, Shaoxing's imports from Japan and South Korea were valued at 3.06 billion yuan ($456.9 million) and 2.13 billion yuan, respectively.

From Nov 4 to 5, delegates from the two countries will visit Shaoxing's enterprises in Yuecheng district, Shengzhou city, and Xinchang county for a closer look at the city's business environment.
