Meadin Tourism Academy, a provider of data that reveal brands' influence, recently released its 2020 "Top 50 Coastal Resorts in China" list, and seven scenic spots in Hainan made the cut.

Sanya's romantic and beautiful scenic spot known as "the End of the Earth", or Tianya Haijiao, ranks top of the list, and the Yalong Bay Tourism Resort, Wuzhizhou Island, West Island Marine Culture Tourism Zone and the Dadonghai Tourism Area rank 5th, 6th, 10th, and 30th respectively.

Another two scenic spots in Hainan to be included in the list are the Fenjiezhou Island Tourist Area in Lingshui Li autonomous county and the Haikou Holiday Beach in the provincial capital of Haikou, which rank 7th and 37th. 

Coastal scenic spots is a general term for various zones for tourism including sightseeing, vacation-taking and any other activities based around the sea, beaches or other environments with a marine element such as islands, coasts, and offshore waters.
