Xi says China ready to push forward ties with Maldives

BEIJING - China is ready to push forward its relations with Maldives as next year will mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries, said Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday.
In a phone conversation with President of Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, Xi said China is willing to hold various forms of celebration events with Maldives to deepen the friendship between the people of the two countries.
