Healthcare workers, epidemiologists named 'most beautiful doctors'

Ten healthcare workers and members of the national epidemiological investigation expert team were named the nation's "most beautiful doctors" by authorities on Wednesday ahead of this year's Chinese Doctors' Day, which falls on Friday.
The honorees were jointly selected by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and the National Health Commission.
The 10 medical workers awarded the title are: three intensive care and infectious disease specialists who are fighting on the frontline against the COVID-19 epidemic; two grassroots-level healthcare workers; a seasoned TCM doctor; a urology doctor heading to the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region to improve local pediatric services; an ophthalmologist devoted to spreading awareness on preventing nearsightedness; a nurse focusing on caring for HIV/AIDS patients; and a researcher who is playing an important role in efforts to eliminate malaria in China.
Members of the national epidemiological investigation expert team have also been awarded the honorary titles for swiftly conducting surveys and screenings in areas hit by COVID-19 outbreaks.
