Xi to attend dialogue between CPC, world political parties

BEIJING -- A dialogue between the Communist Party of China (CPC) and other political parties from across the world will take place Wednesday via video link, Hu Zhaoming, spokesperson for the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, announced Monday.
Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and Chinese president, will attend the opening ceremony of the CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-Level Meeting in Beijing and deliver a keynote address, Hu said.
The event, under the theme of "Path towards Modernization: the Responsibility of Political Parties," will gather leaders of political parties and political organizations from many countries, Hu said.
China hosted the first dialogue of its kind in Beijing in 2017.
