BEIJING - A compilation of discourses by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, on work regarding agriculture, rural areas and farmers has been published by the People's Publishing House and the China Agriculture Press.

Compiled by the Office of the Central Rural Work Leading Group, the book consists of 16 sections expounding on Xi's discourses related to agriculture, rural areas and farmers.

These discourses are a vital part of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, providing a guide to action and the fundamental guidance for rural work.

The book is expected to help the public study these discourses in a comprehensive, thorough and systematic manner, advance China's rural revitalization on all fronts, and speed up rural and agricultural modernization.
