Senior Chinese military officer meets foreign guests

General Zhang Youxia, a vice-chairman of China's Central Military Commission, has met several foreign defense ministers who came to Beijing for the 10th Beijing Xiangshan Forum, which will be held from Sunday to Tuesday.
On Saturday, Zhang held talks with the Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Chansamone Chanyalath, as well as the Mongolian Minister of Defense Gursed Saikhanbayar.
On Sunday, he met Admiral Tin Aung San of Myanmar, who is also the country's deputy prime minister; Pedro Klamar Fuik of East Timor; and Lieutenant General Viktor Khrenin from Belarus.
During the talks, Zhang, the highest Chinese uniformed officer, told the foreign guests that the Chinese military is willing to deepen communication and cooperation with armed forces in their countries and to boost the bilateral relations.
The foreign guests wished the success of the 10th Beijing Xiangshan Forum and said they want to enhance the military-to-military ties with China, according to news releases from China's defense ministry.
