"Shandong presents many opportunities for doing business, and is one of our priority provinces for developing the UK and China's trade and investment relations. Some of the UK's leading companies already have a presence in Shandong, such as AstraZeneca, which recently announced new investment at their site in Qingdao. And some of Shandong's leading companies, such as Haier and Hisense, have established operations in the UK. We hope to build on this strong foundation in future."

"Shandong is one of the cradles of Chinese and international civilizations both in philosophy and spirituality. I look forward to visiting the birthplace of the great philosopher Confucius and Mount Tai. Shandong has made remarkable economic success. I hope to introduce Syria to Shandong business communities and also wish to introduce Shandong business communities to Syria to participate in our reconstruction."

"I take back a lot of good information about how much more Shandong can do for many countries including Fiji. There's more in Shandong that we can learn from apart from Confucius practice. Fiji and Shandong have great potential for cooperation and exchange in tourism, agriculture, and fishery and we will actively promote cooperation between Shandong and Fiji in various fields in the future."

"The event provides enlightening and opening up avenues for discussions and comping up with ways and means of working together between China and Zambia and carrying out cultural and people-to-people exchanges. There are a lot of opportunities for cooperation between Shandong and Zambia. Zambia is a less developed country and industrialization is one of our key targets. There is a lot of experience from Shandong, which we can learn from. In addition, some provinces of Zambia are primarily focused on agriculture and learning from how Shandong is handling its agriculture programs would be very helpful to develop our agricultural sector."
