An event called Discovering Changbai Mountains: Embracing Jilin's Winter Wonderland with Global Gen Z was launched on Dec 16 at Changbai Mountains.

It was designed to promote the development of the ice and snow winter economy in Northeast China's Jilin province and to foster friendly exchanges between Chinese and foreign youth.

The objective of the event was to introduce young people in China and around the world to the diverse regional cultures and numerous winter activities in Jilin.

It aimed to expose the province's thriving ice and snow tourism sector to both domestic and international audiences – enhancing the global appeal of Jilin's icy landscape.

Located in a prime location in the world's "golden latitude belt" for ice and snow, Jilin province possesses abundant natural ice and snow resources.

It is renowned both domestically and internationally as one of the world's top three skiing destinations and is a significant ice and snow tourism hot spot. Its unique natural resources are said to make Jilin an attractive and thrilling destination for global Gen Z travelers.

During the event, foreign Gen Z guests had the opportunity to explore the stunning Changbai Mountains, experience exciting winter sports and immerse themselves in the local culture.

The event is expected to further enhance Jilin's reputation as a premier winter destination and to strengthen its ties with the international community – fostering a spirit of global cooperation and friendship among the younger generation.
