Odysseus, the privately built US robotic lunar lander, struggled during its historic moon landing last week, the first such US landing in 50 years. Houston-based manufacturer Intuitive Machines saw a 3 percent decline in shares on February 23, with losses exceeding one-third of their value this week. Despite NASA's $118 million investment, the mission fell short of collecting expected scientific data. The partial success validates NASA's strategy of relying on startups for instruments.
