The film made its grand premiere in Beijing on Wednesday, attracting fervent fans who paid homage by dressing up as beloved characters like Furiosa and the menacing warlord Dementus.

On its opening day on Friday, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga has already surged to the top of the country's presale box-office charts, amassing a staggering 1.1 million yuan ($151,800) in ticket sales, as reported by the movie information tracker Beacon.
