Vice-chairman of securities regulator under investigation

Wang Jianjun, vice-chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, is being investigated for suspected severe violations of Party disciplines and national laws, China's top anti-corruption watchdogs announced on Wednesday.
The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China and the National Commission of Supervision disclosed the investigation online, with no more details disclosed.
Public information shows that Wang, 57, a native of Sichuan province, began his career in July 1991 and joined the Party in October 1994.
He had worked for the country's securities regulatory system for about 20 years, and became the vice-chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission in late 2021.
