The Yiwu International Trade Market, a major wholesale hub located in Yiwu, East China's Zhejiang province, opened a new branch on June 26 in the bustling Shinsaibashi commercial district of Osaka in Japan, marking another step forwards in its global expansion.

The branch was jointly developed and is being operated by the Yiwu trade market and Japan's Aucfan Co Ltd, an e-commerce support solutions provider. The market is tailored to the specific needs of the local market and offers a wide range of quality products from Yiwu, including daily goods, apparel, and beauty and health items.

With more than 90 businesses operating across 5,000 square meters, the Osaka Yiwu Market is driven by three pillars: digital trade, brand empowerment, and direct supply chain access. This model aims to make it easier for Yiwu-made goods to enter the Japanese market.

Bao Hua, general manager of China Commodities Group — the parent company of the Yiwu International Trade Market — said the new Osaka outlet would leverage Yiwu's strong supply chain and Aucfan's online buyer network to better connect Chinese goods with Japanese consumers.

Since launching its global expansion initiative in 2023, Yiwu International Trade Market has rolled out 60 international projects, including two overseas markets, 22 showrooms, and 15 exhibitions — reaching 28 countries and regions including the UAE, the United States, Brazil, Spain, Russia, Japan, and Nigeria.
