Guangzhou Baiyun Airport sees steady growth in 2025


Baiyun International Airport, headquartered in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, achieved steady growth in passenger and cargo transportation in the first half of 2025, significantly enhancing its hub capabilities.
The airport handled a total of 266,000 flights from January to June, with passenger throughput reaching 40.36 million, marking year-on-year increases of 7.0 percent and 9.2 percent respectively.
The airport's cargo throughput reached 1.17 million tons in the first half of this year, showing a two percent year-on-year growth.
Particularly, the airport's performance in international operations became a core engine to drive its growth, with 58,000 flights and 8.19 million passengers in the first-half year period, representing remarkable year-on-year growth rates of 16.1 percent and 22.9 percent.
