"It's my third time in China—but my first time in Fuzhou. And it's completely different."
From exploring tea-scented streets to bonding with local students, one international visitor found more than just souvenirs—she found connection.
"We shared snacks, stories, even a hairpin. Now we're 'hairpin twins'! " said Cosette, a member of the One Voice Children's Choir from Utah, U.S.
She was traveling with the choir in Fuzhou as part of the Bond with Kuliang: 2025 China-U.S. Youth Choir Festival.
Through the Bond with Kuliang program, she got a real taste of local life—using WeChat, navigating with new friends, and dreaming big.
"I'd love to study music in China. That's the goal."
Every city has its own vibe. In Fuzhou, she felt right at home.
