Departing from Y-20 military transport planes, new college students arrived at the Aviation University of Air Force in Changchun, Jilin province, to begin their school year.

On Friday, the PLA Air Force began transporting newly recruited students from boarding points in Shenyang in Liaoning province, Shijiazhuang in Hebei province, Jinan in Shandong province, Nanjing in Jiangsu province, Changsha in Hunan province, and Chengdu in Sichuan province.

The university began using the Y-20 military transport planes to welcome new students four years ago.

The students also received postcards bearing the message, "Let youth bloom in the blue sky, let the sky be wonderful because of you."

In 2025, the enthusiasm among eligible youths for applying to the Air Force for flight training remains high, with nearly 100,000 high school graduates applying.
