With its remarkably picturesque scenery and rich cultural heritage, the city of Huzhou in East China's Zhejiang province has launched five premium inbound travel routes on the international platform of Ctrip, one of the country's biggest online travel agencies.

The travel routes target global markets across 22 regions — including China's Hong Kong and Macao, Europe, America, and Southeast Asia — aiming to raise Huzhou's international profile.

They were developed in collaboration with Ctrip and the Huzhou municipal bureau of culture, radio, television and tourism. Moreover, they were designed to integrate local sericulture, tea culture, family tours, ecotourism, and rural tourism.

Designed as three-day, two-night immersive experiences, the travel routes offer guides in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

As China's 240-hour visa-free transit policy expands, the "China Travel" trend is growing, making Huzhou a popular destination for exploring the Jiangnan region — south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River.

The new Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High-Speed Railway, linking Shanghai, Suzhou in Jiangsu province, and Huzhou, provides unprecedented convenience for global visitors to experience Huzhou's allure.

"By leveraging Ctrip's global marketing network, we have launched premium inbound travel routes centered around Huzhou's cultural icons — silk, ceramics, writing brushes, and tea, inviting tourists to explore Huzhou's natural beauty and ecological achievements," said an official of the Huzhou municipal bureau of culture, radio, television, and tourism.
