Saudi Crown Prince Invites PM Shehbaz to Future Investment Initiative Forum in Riyadh

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has accepted an invitation from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to attend the ninth Future Investment Initiative (FII) Forum, scheduled for October 27–30, 2025, in Riyadh.

The invitation was formally delivered by Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malky during a meeting at the Prime Minister’s House. The ambassador presented a signed letter from the Crown Prince, while both sides also discussed recent regional developments in a warm and cordial exchange.

Expressing his appreciation, Prime Minister Shehbaz extended heartfelt greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Earlier, the prime minister welcomed the historic peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, signed at the White House under the auspices of U.S. President Donald Trump. Terming it a “l(fā)andmark development,” he said the accord heralded a new era of peace, stability, and cooperation in the South Caucasus after decades of conflict.

Shehbaz congratulated Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan, reaffirming Pakistan’s consistent support for the brotherly nation. He also commended the United States for facilitating the deal, noting that such diplomatic efforts could serve as a model for resolving other long-standing disputes.

Separately, in a meeting with National Party President Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, the prime minister reiterated that the progress and prosperity of Balochistan remain a top priority for the federal government. He emphasised commitments to improving education and livelihood opportunities for the province’s youth. Dr Baloch expressed gratitude for the government’s ongoing development initiatives, with PM’s Adviser Dr Touqeer Shah also in attendance.
