Youssef Saad, 18, Arab lute student, said he hopes to teach music to children so they can see beauty despite the destruction all around.
Ismail Daoud, 45, who teaches the students how to play oud, said the war had stripped people of their creativity and imagination, their lives reduced to securing basic necessities such as food and water.
