On Aug 12, the quality supervision and inspection work for foundation treatment and pre-tower erection was completed on the 220kV outgoing project of the Fengsui 750kV Substation in Shizuishan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region.

The 220kV outgoing project is a key part of the 14th Five-Year Plan for Ningxia's energy development. Located in Pingluo county and Huinong district of Shizuishan city, the project involves the construction of eight circuits of 220kV lines, including Fengsui-Yongle, Fengsui-Huinong and Fengsui π-connected Hurong Phase A and B lines, with a total length of 88.6 kilometers. Upon completion, the project will effectively enhance the power load supply capacity of the power grid in Shizuishan by 3 million kilowatts, promote the high-quality economic and social development of the local area, and provide strong power support for Shizuishan city in building a "Demonstration City for Industrial Transformation" during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. It will also play a crucial role in optimizing the structure of Ningxia's 750kV power grid, promoting the consumption of new energy, and upgrading the regional energy structure.

The quality supervision and inspection work was carried out by quality inspection experts from Ningxia Electric Power Engineering Quality Supervision Center Station in strict accordance with relevant standards and specifications. In terms of foundation treatment, inspectors conducted detailed tests on key links such as foundation replacement and backfilling, as well as foundation bearing capacity, to ensure that the stability and bearing capacity of the foundation fully meet the design requirements. Before tower erection, a comprehensive inspection was conducted on the quality of tower materials, processing technology, and on-site stacking and storage conditions. After inspection, all preparatory work for foundation treatment and pre-tower erection were found to have met high standards, and the project is now qualified to enter the next phase of construction.

It is understood that since the project commenced construction on Oct 28, 2024, it has been strictly following the project construction management mechanism. The company and the local government have established a joint promotion team for the Fengsui Substation and its outgoing project, and adopted the "owner project manager + full-process person-in-charge" management mechanism. From the five dimensions of "personnel, machinery, materials, methods and environment", and in accordance with the "seven-step" resumption process, the team has implemented the "five basic conditions" one by one to ensure project progress. At present, the project is progressing steadily as planned. After completing this quality supervision and inspection, tower erection work will be launched in the follow-up, and related work such as line erection will be advanced simultaneously. The project is expected to be put into operation on June 30 next year.

The smooth passing of this quality supervision and inspection is an important milestone in the construction of the 220kV outgoing project of Shizuishan Fengsui 750kV Substation. All participating units will continue to adhere to the work attitude of high standards and strict requirements, guarantee the quality and safety of the project construction, ensure the project is completed with high quality as scheduled, and contribute to the energy development and economic construction of Shizuishan city and wider Ningxia.
