MoITT, Cadet College Hasanabdal Sign Digital MoU

The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cadet College Hasanabdal (CCH) to transform the institution into a Model Digital Institution under Pakistan’s National Digital Vision and CCH Vision 2030.

Under this collaboration, MoITT will provide wide-ranging support, including the development of digital infrastructure, teacher training, student capacity building, cybersecurity, and strategic projects.

Key initiatives include the provision of high-speed internet, campus-wide WiFi, upgraded IT resources, and the establishment of smart classrooms. Faculty members will be trained and certified in tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, coding, and AI in education.

For students, the agreement opens opportunities in coding, robotics, AI, blockchain, and cybersecurity bootcamps, as well as internships and mentorships with startups linked to MoITT.

CCH will also act as a pilot institution under the National ICT Framework, engaging in innovative projects such as digital identity systems, e-learning platforms, and smart assessments. Special focus will be placed on cybersecurity and data protection, with technical audits and global standards applied.

A structured roadmap with measurable KPIs will guide the transformation, while CCH’s digital progress will be showcased in MoITT reports, expos, and global forums.

Speaking on the occasion, Federal Minister for IT & Telecom, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, said the government is prioritising youth empowerment through internet access, digital literacy, and training in AI, coding, and cybersecurity to equip young Pakistanis with global skills.

The MoU was signed by Brig. Nasir Saeed Khattak, Principal CCH, and Faisal Ratyal, CEO of the National Information Technology Board (NITB), on behalf of MoITT.
