Ningxia Hui deals represent boost for China-UAE trade


China and the UAE signed on to 11 trade and investment projects worth 2.4 billion yuan ($33.6 million) at a high-level promotion event in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region on Thursday in what is a boost for business cooperation between the two countries.
Thursday's event brought together more than 300 representatives from government departments, businesses and trade associations from both China and the UAE. Discussions focused on energy, agriculture, logistics and trade platform development, with the aim of turning cooperative intentions into concrete projects.
Projects signed at the event cover a range of sectors, from new energy technology and cross-border logistics parks to agricultural processing and commercial services, reflecting the complementary industrial strengths of both countries, according to authorities.
As a key part of the 7th China-Arab States Expo, organizers said Thursday's event created a precise government-business matchmaking platform, designed to promote investment, trade and industrial integration between the two countries.
