A new set of Mogan Mountain-themed stamps will be released nationwide on Sept 22, according to a representative from the postal business department of China Post Group Co.

Mogan Mountain, a national scenic area and tourist resort in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, is renowned for its stunning views of bamboo forests, clouds, and springs, as well as its tranquility and lush greenery.

Named after the legendary sword smiths Gan Jiang and Mo Ye in ancient China, Mogan Mountain ranks among China's top summer retreats.

The set includes three stamps, featuring three representative landscapes of waterfalls, bamboo forests, and the sea of clouds in the Mogan Mountain scenic area. The release is the fourth set in the Four Great Summer Resorts stamp series.

"Stamps carry rich history and culture, displaying the nation's landscapes in miniature form," said Lu Ming, vice-president of the Zhejiang Philatelic Association. The issuance of the Mogan Mountain-themed stamps highlights Huzhou's natural beauty as a national symbol, he added.

The patterns on the Mogan Mountain-themed stamps were selected from 14 candidate landscapes through an online public selection process.

Cheng Xiangjun, a professor at Tsinghua University, completed the stamp designs, blending natural beauty with the cultural history of Mogan Mountain.
