Jinan to host intl equestrian event
The CSI** 2025 International Show Jumping and Jinan Open will be held from Sept 26 to 28 at the Shandong Equestrian Event Center in Jinan.
The event is jointly organized by the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI) and Chinese Equestrian Association, and co-hosted by the Jinan municipal bureau of sports and Licheng district government.
The competition features eight levels, accommodating participants of varying skill levels, and is expected to attract more than 300 participants. It will also showcase Jinan's unique culture through traditional markets, youth competitor exchanges, and local signature refreshments, allowing the audience to get fully immersed in the city's culture.
Jinan hosted the competition in 2024, bringing together elite riders from countries including China, the United States and Canada, and generating more than 60 million yuan ($8.43 million) in economic benefits.
The 2025 competition is expected to further enhance Jinan's international influence and boost the development of the local sports industry, according to the Jinan municipal bureau of sports.
