Cultural goods prove to be big hit at expo

The 2025 China Culture and Tourism Industries Expo was held from Sept 12 to 14 in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, with the theme "deepening integration of culture and tourism, enjoying a better life".
The event attracted over 225,000 tourist visits, with more than 2,000 domestic exhibitors from across China. On-site transactions of cultural products and tourism commodities reached 170 million yuan ($23.92 million).

Visitors to the expo lined up to purchase various cultural and creative products, including items from six Chinese museums, such as the Palace Museum. Many products needed to be restocked, then sold out again.
Popular goods included plush toys modeled after regional snacks and well-known cultural artifacts with emotional appeal, cultural resonance, and innovative designs. For example, a bag charm shaped like nang, a traditional flatbread from Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, proved to be a big hit.
