Dazzling fashion show debuts on Fujian harbor

The Cabbeen 2025/26 Fall/Winter Fashion Show debuted Tuesday evening at Xiangzhi fishing harbor, an ancient port on the Maritime Silk Road in Shishi, Fujian province.
Transforming the sea into its stage and the sky into its backdrop, the show turned the harbor into a dramatic runway. A 150-meter catwalk extended into the water, with models appearing as if emerging from the ocean itself. Set against a backdrop of fishing boats, red-brick houses, and a distant lighthouse, the presentation seamlessly fused fashion with the spirit of the locale.
Designer Yang Ziming, known as Mr Cabbeen, described the show as a dialogue with his hometown, Shishi. "Every outdoor show carries challenges, but it also offers an irreplaceable natural allure — the sunset, the sea breeze, the shimmer of the water. These are atmospheres no indoor stage can replicate," he said.
This season's theme, "Cross Lands & Tides", explored the intersection of local heritage and contemporary design.

The musical and performative elements were meticulously curated. Yang expressed special gratitude to chief director Xiao Xiangrong, who elevated the harbor stage to a cultural height beyond fashion itself.
The lighting design provided the finishing touch. The interplay of warm and cool tones highlighted both the depth and tranquility of the sea and the passion and tension of fashion. Yang deliberately chose sunset for the show's start, allowing the natural afterglow and technological lighting to merge into an unforgettable atmosphere.
With layered elements of nature, culture, and technology, the show unfolded as more than a runway — it became an immersive experience, weaving together history and future in a harbor setting where tradition and fashion met.
