Beijing exhibition 'I Was Born a Girl' spotlights women's voices

The exhibition I Was Born a Girl made its Asian debut with an opening at Genesis Beijing in the Chinese capital on Sept 15.
Created by Finnish artist Minna Pietarinen in collaboration with curator Peppi Stunkel, the exhibition, hosted by the Embassy of Finland in Beijing, shines a light on women's rights worldwide. Through paintings, poetry and storytelling, I Was Born a Girl amplifies the voices and experiences of women and girls across various cultures.
