Chen Yu's new womenswear line inspired by grasslands and sustainability

The designers said they drew inspiration from Taiga's psychedelic, nomadic music and a trip to Husile's hometown in the grasslands of Xilingol League, Inner Mongolia.
The Inner Mongolia trip inspired Chen and Udo to lean heavily on tassels, an iconic element in Mongolian clothing, and ropes. The rope is not only a nod to the one used by herdsmen but also symbolizes the grass that cattle and sheep feed on. Its looseness is also a symbol of the freedom that nurtures life.
Inspired by the galloping horses and the afterglow of the setting sun they witnessed on the Xilingol grassland, the designers say they used these images as the visual thread for the "Husile" collection, emphasizing the harmony between humanity and nature and between tradition and modernity.
