Qufu, the hometown of Confucius in Shandong province, held ceremonies on Sunday to commemorate the 2,576th anniversary of the philosopher's birth.
The ceremonies, featuring traditional music, dance, and other ceremonial forms, embody the essence of propriety in Confucian culture.
The commemorations are a key part of the 2025 China International Confucius Cultural Festival, which kicked off on Saturday.
