Xi extends condolences over death of Thailand's Queen Mother Sirikit

BEIJING -- President Xi Jinping on Sunday sent a message of condolence to Thailand's King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua over the death of Thailand's Queen Mother Sirikit.
On behalf of the Chinese government and people, Xi extended deep condolences and sincere sympathies to the Thai royal family, government and people.
Xi said that Queen Mother Sirikit enjoys high prestige among the Thai royal family and the people. Deeply committed to China-Thailand friendship, she once visited China on behalf of late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and made important contributions to promoting the special bond of "China and Thailand are one family."
She will always be remembered, Xi said.
