Reunited couple inspires wave of online love songs

Online users in Chongqing municipality touched by the story of a couple who were reunited after six decades have been penning songs to praise the duo.

Chongqing resident Qu Daming, 94, married Liu Zehua in 1938 before fighting in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. The couple did not meet until 1997, when they found out they were long-lost husband-and-wife after being introduced in a matchmaking event.

Netizens got word of their story and were inspired to write songs praising the couple for their love.
