我聽了后怕不已，連忙問她后來如何脫身的。她嘆了口氣說：“After struggling with the police for half an hour, the robber was caught red-handed at last.”聽到“red-handed”我不禁心驚肉跳，腦中聯(lián)想到的是“滿手鮮血”的歹徒，于是問她有多少人被劫匪傷害。
Carmen不明所以的回答說沒有人在劫案中受傷。我不禁納悶，反問她如果沒有人受傷問什么匪徒的雙手會是紅的呢？ Carmen 恍然大悟、笑哈哈的向我解釋說：“Caught red-handed 是當(dāng)場被捕的意思，并非你所想的滿手鮮血那么可怕。”
