Dozens of social entrepreneurs and investors from all over China gathered in Beijing recently for the awards ceremony of Skills for Social Entrepreneurs.

Hosted by the Cultural and Education section of British Embassy, the program granted 32 social entrepreneurs a total cash prize of about 2.4 million yuan ($382,000) and non-cash support.

The keynote speakers shared their experience of investing or operating social enterprises in many areas, such as support systems for the elderly and a training center to help children with dyslexia. Winning the awards will attract more support from customers, media and other institutions.?
