Experts from the Chinese Photographers Society and Anhui Photographers Association met at Taiping Lake on January 13 to evaluate photos from the 2012 Taiping Lake Tourism National Photography Contest.
The competition has attracted extensive attention from many domestic photographers and photography fans when it opened on July 14, 2012. The organizing committee received over 2,800 works from photographers and photography fans nationwide through mail and online submissions by the Wuzhou Photo Gallery and the Anhui tourism BBS message board. These photos reflect various aspects of Taiping Lake, such as the landscape, local customs and rural tourism.
After careful appraisal of the competition review group, 99 outstanding photographic works were chosen among 2,800 entries to enter the final competition. The final gold, silver and bronze prize winners will be shown at the Wuzhou Photo Gallery, Anhui tourism BBS, Huangshan District Government Network, and Taipinghu Township Government Affairs website.
