The Hefei municipal tourism administration released a list of cultural activities for Spring Festival on Jan 22. The list includes 19 programs, some of which will offer special discounts for tourists.
For free Spring Festival couplets, residents can join the Spring Festival Stocking Expo (Jan 26 to Feb 3), the Cultural Temple Fair (Feb 5 to 24) and other events where famous calligraphers' works will be on display and for sale. For folk culture lovers, the Anhui Exhibition and Conference Center and Worker's Cultural Palace will stage folk performances like Shaoxing opera and Huangmei opera. Hefei Intangible Cultural Heritage Park will also host two performances of acrobatics and clown shows every day.
For science fans, Hefei Science and Technology Museum will show science plays and 4D movies during the season. For people who love silence, the Narcissus Show in the botanical garden is a must-see.
According to the organizing committee of the Stocking Expo, tourists at the event will have the chance to taste Taiwan snacks like pineapple cakes for free starting Jan 26.
Visitors born in the Year of Snake will enjoy discounts at the Temple Fair in Anhui Park.
